The builders are a whos-who of custom home constructors.Most of the homes are a craftsman type with brick and stone with accents, many of the homes are set back from the street as you enter giving more of an estate type feel. North Fulton County schools are one of the highest rated systems in Georgia. The homes range in price from $1,500,000 to $3,000,000...</p> <p>     Country Club of the South is probably Atlanta's most prestgious community, all you had to say was "The Club". Straddling the Chattohoochee River in Alpharetta Georgia, this is usually the starting point and the measuring stick for gated country club living. The Jack Nicklaus 18 hole course is impeccable, just inside the entrance you can stare down the fairway, very scenic. The clubhouse has been totally renovated with functions always taking place. There are 2 recreational areas for the approximately 700 families residing there. Has more of a family oriented feel than just a golf club. Don't be surprised if you bump into a celebrity or sports figure there,  this has always been a popular community for them. What makes the homes so different from each other is the time frame in which the homes were built, about 20 years! Like stucco? they have that. Brick or stone? Have that too! the styles run the gamut from country to comtemporary. Prices run from $700,000 to $6,000,000.</p> <p>     The Windward community has the distinct honor of  two Arthur Hills designed golf courses known as the golf club of georgia, Lakeside opened in 1991 and Creekside which opened in 1993. There is a sports park, a swim center and a tennis center. The small harbor section is often a favorite with cottage style homes, some on the water. A portion of the community has gated sections. There is a gated section to the community and a non gated one. Located in Crab Apple-Alpharetta many of the homes are situated on estate size lots. Styling lends itself to traditional with a few variations thrown in. Great curb appeal to these homes. A family friendly atmosphere, not just a golf club with a full package of amenities. As land lots get smaller and smaller these estate type homes will always be appealing.
